Expensive Skin Peel: INSTANTPEEL

Does The Price Make Them UnApeeling?

Hello all! Greetings and salutations to all my readers (all five of you!) from the corners of the globe. :P Today I will be reviewing a product I got for free in exchange for my honest review: the Earthen brand InstantPeel "The Natural Solution".

The first thing I need to note about this product is that it is pricey. These run you $50.00 for SIX single-use packets...and the packets are not on the full side either. This product claims to use natural enzymes and proteins to cause your dead skin to just fall right off instead of having to use dermabrasion or acid peels. It specifies that you don't have to rub the product aggressively into your skin like with other products...just massage it into your skin for an extended period of time.

....Is there a difference between rubbing and massaging something into your skin? If there is the line is too thin for me to pick up on. The directions are also arguable. They advise "This product is best used in the shower, steam until your skin is moist and supple". I know this is arguable because my fiance and I argued. He took these instructions to mean steam yourself in the shower, don't actually get wet. He said if you were supposed to actually shower it wouldn't say "Wait five minutes until skin is moist" because your skin would be instantly moist. I took the directions to mean you should shower for five minutes before using it. This resulted in one of us standing much more in the water than the other as we were both determined we were right.

This product did work but....not really like I expected. I expected dramatic results, not just a few dead skin cells rolling off like they do with some lotions anyway. And at this price point? Hmmm.

All In All: 🌈 1/10
The Good: Not much. It works, sort of. There isn't a dramatic difference though and for this cost there should be.
The Bad: Where do I start? The price-tag-$50 for 6 packages that contain 5 grams of liquid is awful. The smell-it looks like Elmer's glue and doesn't smell great either....then again that may be the third ingredient on the list-shrimp extract. The confusing directions? To steam without showering? To steam whilst actively showering? How about just the fact that it doesn't work so hot. I would consider paying $10-maybe $15 for this. That's about it.
Where You Can Find It:  https://earthenskincare.com/collections/frontpage/products/instant-peel-exfoliant and you can check out other peoples results through #instapeel

Realistically, not really worth the money you're shelling out and you could get similar results for less from other places. I'd save the $$$ if I were you!
