Ceramic Knife Set-On Sale Right Now?!

IE: A Cut Above The Rest

This set of three ceramic knives was sent to me complimentary in exchange for my honest review. They ordinarily run $276 but right now they're having a 75% off launch sale so you get them for $69 plus free shipping! Mine arrived really quickly too, which was a nice bonus.

I have three kiddos and am a full time student as well as a full time mommy....my oldest just started kindergarten, my middle child is a veggie/fruit addict and my youngest has just entered the world of eating big people food recently and seems to want to eat the whole world. Between the three of them my kitchen has to have a few things: products that are easy to clean because I can't stand over the sink all day and I don't have a dishwasher, products that make my job easier and quicker so that I can go find out why my middle child is imitating a hawk in the living room AND products that are worth the investment. I don't mind spending more on quality cookware, utensils etc etc. if they will last me a long time and do their job right.

These knives come with three sizes: An 8" chef's knife, a 6" utility knife and a 4" paring knife. Between these three sizes you've got everything you need to cover prep for an entire meal: slicing, dicing, paring, chopping through big thick pieces of meat or gourds and finely mincing herbs. They're really lightweight and easy to clean too so you don't get as worn out from using them for a long period of time-which you shouldn't have to because they stay sharp for a long time so they make prep super fast.

All In All: 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈I'm really happy with my set. I'm going to say 9/10 just because I do wish they came with one more longer skinny blade but hey, this set is great.
The Good: Lightweight, Sharp, All-Purpose, Easy to Clean, Cut Prep Time Down.
The Bad: Three knives does still seem like not a lot to get, even if these do the work of a much larger set.
Where You Can Find It: https://chefsfoundry.com/kfe-order-form-15572326 ---on sale!

I'd say ESPECIALLY while this is on sale this is a good solid investment. It's better than buying a much larger set of cheaper knives that get dull or break quickly and may come with more knives but you don't ever really use more than three or so anyway. Quality over quantity is important when making long term investments in your household basics and I'd say these definitely win on quality.
Thank you guys so much for reading and as always, stay awesome!

Activated Charcoal Cleanser

Otherwise Known As: Washing Your Face With a Leviathan (sorry, Supernatural fan)

Have you ever wanted to cover your face in gray goop to clean it? Have you wanted that gray goop to smell pleasantly like citrus? Would you like it to be full of good stuff for your skin and to power through dirt and ick like nobodies business? Ooooh I have a cleanser for you!

This activated charcoal cleanser is packed full of goodies like Activated Charcoal, Coconut Oil, Vitamin C, Vitamin B5, Green Tea, Rooibos Tea, White Tea, Orange Peel, and Tapioca it's easy to see why this cleanser rocks. It's all natural and vegan-no parabens or other yuck to worry about. The charcoal is meant to help pull impurities out of your skin and I've got to say it looks like it does the job!

Between my makeup, my fiance's oily skin and my room mates job (polishes metal so he gets filthy every day) we both got squeaky clean with surprisingly little product and zero yucky residue. I'm impressed by this cleanser, especially since as far as cleansers go it's pretty inexpensive (only $16.99 for 6 a six ounce bottle) and it dispenses through a pump top so it's easy to control just how much you're working with. My fiance also really enjoyed the simple packaging and thought the black color made it "cooler" for guys.

All In All: 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈This is going to be another 10/10 product, it's a great value and works really well.
The Good: Good value, works as it should, lathers really well, great list of ingredients!
The Bad: Some may be turned off by the citrus smell or the appearance of the product as it does look like you're putting alien slime on your face.
Where You Can Find Ithttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019EQ51C2 #barbary isn't just for men!

Impressed with what I've been trying lately! I have an unfortunate feeling my luck has to run out soon because lately I've been getting a string of really good products to share with you guys.
As always, thank you for reading and stay awesome!

Awesome Shirts!

Feel Like A Moon Princess!

Love when I score an awesome product to review that I would totally purchase for myself any day of the week! I've been super busy this week, I started school back myself and had to get my car fixed but the reviews march on!

This awesome t-shirt is super soft, true to size and the graphic work on it is high quality (no peeling or flaking here). It arrived super fast and although it isn't Sailor Moon related it made me feel like a moon princess!

All In All: 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈 10/10 easy!
The Good: Everything!
The Bad: Nothing this go around-product is better than advertised.
Where You Can Find It: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074HVKSDH/ref=as_li_ss_tl?th=1&psc=1&linkCode=ll1&tag=products3366-20&linkId=b31c9dd086a59580aff5b97e98d554a5&keywords=black+cat+shirts+for+men+crescent+moon    ---super cheap, super great!

This review is short but there isn't much you can say about a shirt, realistically. It's super cute, it's super soft, it's gorgeous! I love it. :D Thanks for reading guys and stay awesome!

The Best Low Price Blending Sponge!

Beat Their Prices, Then Your Face!

Hello all! Here today to do a review that, as you can probably already tell, is on a product that is one of my new favorites. I was provided these for free in exchange for an honest review and this set is super cool. It comes with three #beautyblender style sponges, two silicone style makeup applicators, a sponge holder, a container to hold the silicone sponges and a little plastic box that holds all of it!

Silicone makeup applicators are always a little eh for me so I will say I don't have that much of an opinion on these. They are just as eh as other more expensive ones I've tried so I suppose if you like those types of applicators that you'd like these. I can't give a really great opinion on something I don't use often and don't prefer as an application method, so I'd say these are about on par with the higher priced ones.

The sponges though-ahhh. They almost double in size when damp, they're super easy to clean, they have just enough firmness while still being squishy and bouncy. I tried them both damp (my preferred method) and dry with two different styles of foundation and got flawless and even coverage both ways all times I tried. These beat out all of the more expensive dupes I've tried of the original Beauty Blender, which I haven't tried and never will unless I get given one because that's not a price I'll pay for a sponge.

The sponge holder is adorable and I love that it comes with storage methods to help you keep everything nice and separate and clean. The price is INSANE- $12.99 on amazon right now for the whole set. They're even doing a buy two get 10% off promotion at the time I'm typing this.

All In All: You guessed it: 10/10 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈 They earned it though.
The Good: Everything! The price is great, the quality is great, the amount they expand when damp is great. They clean up well and put away neatly. I have no complaints.
The Bad: I honestly can't say anything bad about this product other than that I don't really use silicone style sponges but for this price I'll take them along with my sponges!
Where You Can Find It: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074521SF5

The cheapest you can get Beauty Blenders is $49 for three on their site or $20-even the smallest sizes (meant for blushes and such) are more for ONE sponge than this entire kit. Other people can keep shelling out their cash if they want, I'll hold on to mine and have my foundation look the same if not better!  Thanks for reading guys and stay awesome! <3

To Bean Or Not To Bean.

That Is The Question!

Hello all! Hope you're having yourselves a wonderful Sunday (or whatever day it may be when you read this) and are enjoying a nice cup of brew for yourself, whatever your poison: coffee or tea! While I do really love a nice hot cup of tea and my tea kettle is boss-coffee usually wins the war between the two for me. My standard flavor of choice is a good dark roast with Irish creamer and on days I feel extra fancy maybe a dash of sugar.

I got the opportunity to review this Zancona medium roast coffee in exchange for my review at a lowered rate and snapped up the opportunity! Now this coffee DOES come as the full bean so you will need to own a coffee grinder-if you don't already own one you SHOULD and you can pick one up at pretty much any local superstore for fairly cheap.

One great thing about this particular coffee is that it is all natural-no preservatives or anything extra added to it, just the beans which are all hand roasted, not burnt in a factory. Another super cool thing about these people is that they donate five percent of all royalties to the Kuna Yala tribe in Columbia to help them get the things they need. I will admit I had no idea this tribe existed before trying this coffee but looking up some information on the Kuna people was super cool. They are most famous for their super colorful clothing, probably why the coffee goes under the hashtag #colorfulcoffee.

The coffee itself has a super laid back and mellow flavor to it (there is no super strong kick like I'm used to with my black-as-my-soul coffee) and is really pretty tasty even to a darker roast fan. I will probably save it for the most part to make when my family comes to visit because they are always raining on my black parade and would probably enjoy a medium roast much more.

All In All: 8.5/10 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌠 (yes the shooting star is half a rainbow :P)
The Good: It's a nice lighter roast, it's hand roasted, all natural and a portion of the profits go to helping people. You can't really get much better than that.
The Bad: I do prefer a darker roast coffee so I didn't get as much flavor out of this as a normal person probably would. While this coffee is an 8.5 for me it may be a 10 for someone else that prefer a lighter roast!
Where You Can Find It: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01E6388X2 . Right now its $15.15 a lb or $22.95 for 2lbs ($11.48/lb). They have a "Buy 3 Get 20% off" promo going right now too!

If you like drinking a tasty medium roast that is both tasty for you and helpful to others give it a try! With this coffee it's a win/win! Thanks for reading guys and stay awesome!

Let Me Get One Thing Straight.....

....and can it be my hair?

Hello all! It's review time again today! Today I will be reviewing a nifty little ceramic straightener from HSI that I got complementary in exchange for an honest review. I love leaving honest reviews!

My opinions are all my own- and honestly it has a lot of higher priced products beat by a mile. It heats up almost instantly and cools down just as quickly afterwards which is great,  has a swivel cord to avoid cord fights and leaves my hair soft and silky....did I mention how fast this thing works?! The bonus items are nice-it comes with a glove for heat protective purposes, a storage bag made of really pretty soft cloth and a sample of the companies Argan Oil.

I really love the fact that it has a good variety of heat ranges so it can cover everything from fine/damaged hair/synthetic wigs to thick and problematic hair. My hair is super thick but I also maintain a large collection of synthetic and partially synthetic wigs so a straighter that can do both is a bonus for me!
The ONLY thing I wish was that the product had a locking feature for it but for the price point it sells at it's still a really good deal.

All In All: 9/10 Rainbows! 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈
The Good: Nearly everything! Comes with awesome free swag, heats up lightning fast, doesn't pull or burn hair, just straightens it nice and silky smooth and has a lot of nifty bonus features that other straighteners more expensive lack.
The Bad: The only bad thing I can say about this product is it's lacking what would have given it a ten out of ten-a locking feature. Although it is a bit on the pricey side as well and for many people that may be considered a negative the price isn't really that bad at all when considering the price of straighteners in general. The one year warranty and free gifts also add value to the product for me so yeah, it's really only the locking feature.
Where You Can Find Ithttps://www.hsiprofessional.com/collections/straightening-flat-irons-for-hair/products/ceramic-flat-iron-straightener?variant=839318175 currently for $79.99.

I'd say it's a pretty good deal and while I have no idea how it will hold up in the long run the one year warranty sure gives me added security. :) Thanks for reading and stay awesome guys!

Speaking Of Glowing....

Shine Bright Like A....Waterdrop?

Yep yep, a double post day! When I fall behind I must catch up so here for you is review two!
As mentioned in the previous post and pretty much anywhere info about me is listed I have a sparkle/twinkle/shine problem. Sequins, glitter, lights, shiny surfaces. I'm a dragon or a crow or something because I want all of it.

I got the opportunity to review these at for a discounted rate in exchange for my honest review and snapped it up because who doesn't love lights?! Lights that don't up your electric bill? Bonus!

That's really the great thing about these lights, they are entirely solar powered LED lights. The solar cells spend the day soaking up the rays and then the lights share the suns glow with you all night long (well for 6-10 hours depending on reviews and what mode it is set to).

They are easy to install....I'm pretty sure. My room mate installed them for me but they seemed to be straightforward and he didn't have too much difficulty with them so all is well. The solar charging stations stake into the ground and then the lights weave around whatever you choose. I chose to place them at my doorway for maximum enjoyment and to show them off to the neighbors who probably think I'm a Christmas nut-AND THEY ARE RIGHT!!!

All In All: I'm going to say for the price 10/10 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈
The Good: Pretty much everything. They have multiple modes you can choose from, you don't have to worry about electric costs, they can be simply turned off if you aren't feeling the light up the night vibe on a certain day and they came in perfect shape-every bulb worked and there were zero issues!
The Bad: The only things I can find to say may bother some people is they do seem a bit Christmas-ish (but I mean, Christmas rocks so...whatever) and the length of time they last isn't all night in most places.
Where You Can Find It: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XMZHJW4 currently $15.99 for the two pack I received which was more than enough to go around my entry way on my porch. It's sold by #Binval and processed through amazon. :)

Even if you aren't feeling like lighting up the neighborhood year round these make a decent Christmas investment for those who still get plenty of sunlight in the winter in their area because they can help you decorate without eating into electric costs! Also they're just pretty. Thanks again for reading and stay awesome guys!

All That Glitters

Can Be Glow

Hello everyone! Been a bit behind in my reviews because my oldest baby just started kindergarten so this weekend is gonna be full of awesome (and so/so and not great) products!
Today is a full review on this awesome Glow-In-The-Dark stuffed Pegasus designed for babies to help them sleep. I did get this at a discount in exchange for my review and I love when I'm able to score a solid win for the kiddos and get them something they love AND give a company a good thumbs up.

This one I got for my almost 8 month old daughter Indigo (and for me....it was for me too...) and she absolutely loves it. It runs on a battery pack tucked safely inside its back and only takes 2 AA batteries. This is important. So many products take way too many batteries and when you have kids you quickly learn the true meaning of battery life. Two is a nice reasonable number. It uses these to give off a nice gentle color changing glow and it turns off automatically after 30 minutes so you don't have to worry about getting it away from them to shut it off or trying to reach the button through a sleeping kids arms.

One thing I thought was a little strange is the company wanted me to promote the product using the hashtag #Unicorn but...it's obviously not one. There is no horn. Just wings. It is also a little unfortunate (but to expected) that it isn't washable due to the LED wires and lights inside. This can spell disaster quickly for moms of littles that like their spills and smears on the big side. Spot cleaning is not the friend of a bad diaper night. Ultimately though it's a great price for a super cute product that my daughter really enjoys.

All In All: Imma go with a 9/10 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈
The Good: It squish. It soft. It light. It cute. That is what my daughter would say if she could.
The Bad: Not washable (comes with the territory but still not great) which isn't fun for mommies.
Where You Can Find It: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0747PX4JY right now its only $16.99 and comes in pink with purple wings and mane (the one we got) or purple with blue wings and mane. The one we have says "I Love You" on it's buns and the other one appears to have stars. Both adorable.

I love lights and cuteness and making Baber happy so even with the weird marketing and the lack of wash-ability I'm super happy with this one! Thanks for reading and stay awesome!

Expensive Skin Peel: INSTANTPEEL

Does The Price Make Them UnApeeling?

Hello all! Greetings and salutations to all my readers (all five of you!) from the corners of the globe. :P Today I will be reviewing a product I got for free in exchange for my honest review: the Earthen brand InstantPeel "The Natural Solution".

The first thing I need to note about this product is that it is pricey. These run you $50.00 for SIX single-use packets...and the packets are not on the full side either. This product claims to use natural enzymes and proteins to cause your dead skin to just fall right off instead of having to use dermabrasion or acid peels. It specifies that you don't have to rub the product aggressively into your skin like with other products...just massage it into your skin for an extended period of time.

....Is there a difference between rubbing and massaging something into your skin? If there is the line is too thin for me to pick up on. The directions are also arguable. They advise "This product is best used in the shower, steam until your skin is moist and supple". I know this is arguable because my fiance and I argued. He took these instructions to mean steam yourself in the shower, don't actually get wet. He said if you were supposed to actually shower it wouldn't say "Wait five minutes until skin is moist" because your skin would be instantly moist. I took the directions to mean you should shower for five minutes before using it. This resulted in one of us standing much more in the water than the other as we were both determined we were right.

This product did work but....not really like I expected. I expected dramatic results, not just a few dead skin cells rolling off like they do with some lotions anyway. And at this price point? Hmmm.

All In All: 🌈 1/10
The Good: Not much. It works, sort of. There isn't a dramatic difference though and for this cost there should be.
The Bad: Where do I start? The price-tag-$50 for 6 packages that contain 5 grams of liquid is awful. The smell-it looks like Elmer's glue and doesn't smell great either....then again that may be the third ingredient on the list-shrimp extract. The confusing directions? To steam without showering? To steam whilst actively showering? How about just the fact that it doesn't work so hot. I would consider paying $10-maybe $15 for this. That's about it.
Where You Can Find It:  https://earthenskincare.com/collections/frontpage/products/instant-peel-exfoliant and you can check out other peoples results through #instapeel

Realistically, not really worth the money you're shelling out and you could get similar results for less from other places. I'd save the $$$ if I were you!

The Cutest Nightlight In The World

No, Seriously. Probably In The Universe.

Hello, all! I love when I get the opportunity to review products at a discounted rate for my kiddos because it always feels like we're both getting something special. This go-around was a "Honey Dog" night light-which apparently comes in three colors. I didn't get a color choice because of the fact that I was getting it for super cheap so I got standard white but they also have blue and pink.

This nightlight comes in a huge box (picture of my 2.5 year old holding it below as an example) and includes three things: Baby Puppy, Parent Doggo and a charging cable. Puppy is just a cute little toy for your child to play with that they can either sleep with at night or sit next to the parent. It doesn't light up but it's still super adorable, my daughter LOVES it.

The Parent Doggo is several times the size of Pupper and has can light for up to six hours on a full charge. It also has super bright, bright, dim and off dimmer settings by touching its front paw. So easy my toddler can do it. Literally. She loves brightening and dimming this thing. The whole message behind the product is that parent is the light to protect its baby in the dark and I think that is cute as fluff.

All In All: Easy 10/10 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈
The Good: This thing is ingenious, adorable, super safe, made of easy to clean materials, my kid loves it, I love it and it has a wonderful message behind it. What's not to love?!
The Bad: The only negatives I can think of is that it only stays lit for six hours per charge and it would be nice if it lasted a bit longer. That's it. Such a small price to pay for such an awesome product.
Where You Can Find It: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0716DN2GH for $24.95 currently <3 Definitely worth it, usually I wouldn't think of paying that for a nightlight but this product is so much more than just a standard nightlight.

I love, my daughter loves it. I will fight the urge to steal it from her daily. <3 Recommend with a billion thumbs up and I don't have quite that many thumbs.
Thanks for reading as always and stay awesome!

Getting Wiggy With It

A Tale Of Two Hairs

Hello all! Today I will be reviewing yet another item I got at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion. Today for your judgement: a wig.

Now those that know me know that I have a little bit of a wig problem. Just a little. Okay, so this is my 24th wig. So by now I know wigs pretty well and what kind of wig issues can be easily resolved with a little bit of effort, which ones can be covered up and which just mean that a wig is not going to work and needs to go in the trash.

I wasn't expecting much out of this wig to be honest with you. It's a $20 Amazon wig and usually that means you're going to be in for a world of disappointment. Either the hair is going to be an awful texture, too thin, falling out, the cap is going to be messed up, it's shiny as all heck and looks like a Halloween costume store wig, the list goes on and on. Any $20 price point wig is taking a huge gamble with your cash and is probably going to result in a bad payoff.

In this case I was very pleasantly surprised. This wig was not a lace front (those usually carry a much larger price tag so no shock there) but the hairline was very nice. The cap seems to be really well made and while it doesn't include wig clips it does have straps on the inside to help it fit your head size. It fit mine without any adjustment just fine. It is a little shiny but in more of a "Wow, that's really healthy hair" kind of way and less of a "Wow, THAT'S a wig" kind of way. The hair isn't SUPER thick but I actually enjoy that because my natural hair is super thick and it's nice to have thinner hair sometimes. That being said it's not THIN and there aren't any spots where the hair is anywhere near sparse enough to see the cap while wearing.

All In All: 8/10 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈
The Good: It's a great wig, especially for this price. The color is a nice dark rich shade of brown, the waves are perfect and springy and it's super soft and pretty on. It's easily on par with wigs I've spent much more money on and I'm happy to have it added to my collection!
The Bad: It is a bit shiny and I prefer my wigs to have clips in them, although for this price it's understandable that it doesn't have them and they could easily be sewn in. The part is a bit odd and the very front of the hairline is a little bit difficult to work with at first, not anything that can't be worked with but it will take a minute to get it to your liking.
Where You Can Find It: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y26LN45 for $20-yes TWENTY buckaroos. This is an awesome deal, really.

I love it, I'll wear it in the future, I'm happy with it in general. Below is both an edited pic of me wearing the wig AND three totally unedited pictures showing the front, the cap and the wig overall. As always thank you for reading and stay awesome!

They Bath Bombed

Not Really An Explosive Experience

Greetings and salutations! Today's review is over another type of product I've review before and a product that I personally have a massive obsession with-bath bombs! After the last bath bombs I reviewed I was offered by a different company to review their bath bombs as well at a discounted price.

I am all about a fizzy grand time so I took them up on the offer and anxiously awaited the arrival of my box of 6 (SIX!) bath bombs. The box arrived and I was super happy. The packaging is absolutely adorable and on point and I included pictures of it below so you can see what an awesome job they did at boxing these up. They arrived in perfect condition, not broken at all, labels all on and facing the right way, all dressed up in a little suit and tie.

Unfortunately that's where the happiness ended. All of these bath bombs smell exactly the same and that smell is....plastic/soap? There is supposed to be a variety in scents here, to quote directly from the sales page: "Lavender, Chamomile, Sunflower & Sandalwood Oil", "Black Pepper & Eucalyptus Oil", "Sweet Orange Oil & Bergamot Oil" " Peppermint oil, Rosemary Oil & Juniper Oil", "Palmarosa, Rose & Ylang Ylang Oil" AND "Ylang Ylang, Lavender, Rosemary & Eucalyptus Oil". So IE: They SHOULD all smell completely different.

After examining further I realized the packaging itself smelled of this plastic/soap combo and got hopeful once more that perhaps they had just absorbed some of the scent of the packing supplies and once they were released from their scent-killing chamber they would fill my nose with glee and delight. That was not so, however.

Then the test: I used one. "Get Lucky" in fact-the "Sweet Orange Oil & Bergamot Oil" combo. It fell in the bath. It rolled around. It kinda started to dissolve some. The water remained the same color. Particles of getting lucky (ick-that sounds awful!) remained in the bath with me for the full extent of the bath. The scent was pretty great-oh wait, that was my shampoo being opened. There was pretty much zero scent. To sum it up-the worlds most disappointing bath especially after my last bath bomb experience. So, then....

All In All: 🌈🌈 2/10 rainbows. I am sad.
The Good: The reason it gets two rainbows-the packaging, the names of the bath bombs, the scents they are SUPPOSED to have all sounds great. I love it. I am in love with the idea of this bath bomb set. Had it been what it promised it would have easily been at least a 9/10. Someone in advertising rocks, someone in production does not.
The Bad: All the rest. They fail scent test, they fail execution, they left me with gritty particles of sadness. They told me they were never gonna give me up and then they let me down.
Where You Can Find It: If you have a mother you want to let down this year because she's stopped packing extra cookies for you when she drops the kids back off or a sister-in-law that's been particularly snarky to you lately about your differing views on parenting/politics/the correct season to plant a tomato then this is the gift for you! For the low price of $16.95 you can find this product at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N5A39SM and get your sweet plastic and soap revenge. You are welcome, friend.

In summary: Nope. Thank you for reading everyone and stay awesome!
