Looking For A Cute Stocking Stuffer?

These Are A Clean-Cut Winner!

I recently got the opportunity to try this soap set out and let me tell you it's adorable! It comes with seven different soaps in an interesting variety of scents: rose, lavender and mint are more standard scents but it also has peony, chamomile, forget-me-not and apricot flower. These come boxed together and individually wrapped as well. Size wise they are small, about the size of my thumb in length. Think a hotel sized soap bar and that's about accurate.

The scent leaves a little bit to be desired, they aren't as fragrant as I was hoping but they lather up well...my daughter loves them for her baths because they are "me-size!" soaps for her. I do like the cute packaging and the fact that they are sold for less than $10 for the set (at the time of writing) means that they would be perfect for stocking stuffers at Christmas, gift bags or maybe for a guest bathroom.

All In All: 🌈🌈🌈🌈 4/10
The Good: Nice variety, inexpensive, cute packaging.
The Bad: Small, not that impressed with the fragrance.
Where You Can Find It: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074STQNBX

I wasn't thrilled with these but I didn't DISLIKE them either. I'm probably spoiled with soaps because I get to test a lot of amazing kinds. These are just okay for personal use but great for adding a cute touch to a gift (or apparently for toddler girls who want fancy soaps like Mom but in their size).

Thanks for reading guys and as always stay awesome!!!

A More Natural Choice

Soap For Those That Get Tired Of Soap

One of my least favorite things about most soaps is how many ingredients and chemicals are thrown in with them. The skin is a very delicate thing and exposure to too many unnatural ingredients can cause drastic changes in your skin, both visible and invisible. Because of this I have developed a long standing love of "home made" soap-particularly cold-processed soap. There is a purity and beauty to this age-old art of soap making that I cherish and the results of all the effort it takes are perfect for keeping skin clean and happy-naturally.

This soap is all of the good things: It contains no sulfates, no parabens, no preservatives, no petroleum products and no animal products. All the oils they use are raw not processed and are all non-GMO. This means you don't have to worry about any of the bad-just the good. It IS made with natural olive oil, coconut oil, hemp oil and organic shea butter and naturally scented. The whole process takes 4-6 weeks for the soap to be prepared and results in a HUGE 5.3 ounce bar of goodness that creates a creamy and luscious lather.

This particular bar was Lavender which has many known benefits-soothing for sleep, fighting against mosquitoes, calming nerves. It smelled like a great combination between plain soap and Lavender-so I wasn't overwhelmed with Lavender in my skin but got just the right pop of scent.

All In All: 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈 9/10!
The Good: The scent, the ingredients and the SIZE. This is a hefty chunk of soap.
The Bad: Soaps like this do tend to melt away when left in the shower or exposed to moisture for too long-to counteract that you can slice off pieces of the soap to use at a time or simply make sure it is dry and stored well after using.

I will be trying and writing about another bar from this brand in the next week-looking forward to trying the next scent and seeing if this one holds up as well in the shower as it's brother. Thanks for reading and stay awesome guys!

A Full-Body Pillow

Pillow For Days!

Oh how long have I wanted a body pillow? I complained through all of pregnancies about not having one and hinted at birthdays and Christmas but alas-no padded companion arrived. When I got the opportunity to try this pillow designed to fit all shapes and sizes and help pregnant mommies I jumped at the chance. I may not be pregnant but a body pillow is a body pillow!

This one certainly doesn't disappoint either-it comes in a couple different colors, I chose the blue/pink, meaning one side is entirely baby pink and the other is a nice sky blue. The cover for the pillow is removable and washable and upon examining the process for that when the pillow arrived it looks like it should come off and go back on fairly easily.

It is HUGE and can be used in a million different ways due to the size and shape of it, is nice and soft and provides not only support on both sides but head and neck support as well! It came packaged awesome and took no time at all popping right up and getting properly filled out when removed from the sealing plastic.

All In All: 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈 9/10 ---great but BIG
The Good: Comfy, relatively inexpensive for the size, easy to clean!
The Bad: Does take up a LOT of room. This thing easily occupies half of my queen bed and although you can lay inside of it to help minimize space waste it can still be overwhelming. If you don't want a BIG pillow this is not the one for you.

If you're in the market to add a new sleeping aid to your life and want a pillow that will take up half the bed with comfy goodness you might want to look into these bad boys! As always thanks for reading guys and STAY AWESOME.

Super Fun Little Herb Kit!

A Quick-Start or Great Addition to a Herb Garden!

One of the more interesting things I have had the opportunity to review lately! This is a grow-your-own herb set that comes complete with everything you need to start four herbal tea herbs: seeds for Catnip, Mint, Chamomile and Lemon Balm, four Peat Soil Discs that get larger when you add water, some biodegradable growing pots, markers for your plants and a guide on how to get started.

I am personally a huge fan of herbal tea and herbs in general and have always wanted to start an herb garden and just never got around to it. This kit gave me the kick in the butt to start it finally and I can't wait to add more herbs in the future. I was excited to get this kit and try it as a simple project with my five year old son and almost three year old daughter to help introduce them to the world of planting and growing useful things at a young age.

The kit arrived super fast and in great condition, included everything stated and had a very useful instruction guide with it. Getting these bad boys up and running was super fast and easy and the kids LOVED helping Mom out. They both picked one plant to be THEIRS specifically and will be taking care of their plants babies all on their own (cough cough---Mom ISN'T GOING TO CHECK THEM BEHIND THEIR BACKS...).

I think this is a super cute little affordable kit and can't wait to see how these guys progress over the weeks-will give an update on their condition in the future! :)

All In All: 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈 8/10 --- will add or take away points as these guys grow (or don't :P)
The Good: Fun, easy, practical. Great project for kids/grandkids/date night as it is both super fun and really useful for the long haul! Herb gardens are the best!
The Bad: At this point it's honestly too early to tell if these were all viable so there may be dud seeds in the batch. So no bad YET but we will see in the future!
Where You Can Find Ithttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06ZXX3LJB

Loved getting the chance to try this out and definitely recommend for a fun little project-especially if you love tea and/or growing herbs/spices. Thank you guys for reading and as always, stay awesome!

Perfect Little Cleaning Buddy

How To Keep Kids Trash Out Of The Car Floor

If you're like me you enjoy having a clean(ish!?) car but have kiddos that make that difficult. I got the opportunity to try this cute little over seat hanging trash holder and it works great! It comes with 50 trash bags and since it's small and cute kids don't mind tossing their trash in there instead of the floor. I have tried several different solution over the years for trash storage in the car that doesn't look like trash itself-it can be hard.

When this package arrives it comes ready to go-just unpack it, unroll one of the super cute trash bags (they come with smiley faces on them!), tuck it in and hang it on the back of a seat! I have a minivan with third row seating and the biggest mess culprit sits in the very back so I have it hung on the back of one of the second row seats. It hangs at a level that is easy for kiddos to reach and is large enough to be close to them without hanging in their face (no one wants trash in their faceplace).

When I run out of the free fifty bags it includes it looks like any standard size plastic bag should fit just fine. It gives the kiddos a place to toss their uneaten food and empty cups that is easy to collect from later on and I love products that make things easier on me (especially when it comes to tidying up).

All In All: 8/10! 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈
The Good: Easy to work with, inexpensive and helps keep my kiddos spaces cleaner!
The Bag: I do wish it held a bit more but when you're working with that space it would probably be difficult to do.
Where You Can Find It: It's a pretty great deal and you can pick one up at http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0711VYF7L for only $12.99!

Long story short it keeps a small space clean easier and the kids like having their own personal trash can-it makes them feel grown up and helpful while helping Mommy keep her sanity. :P As always guys, thanks for reading and stay awesome!

Self-Heating Mask = YAAAAASSSSS

AKA: That Dryer Fresh Towel Feeling In A Mask

In the process of reviewing all the awesome (and so/so, alright, not so great) products I do I have learned one thing-while I love recommending products for you guys that will work great for you or helping you avoid ones that may not: I may never need to buy masks/moisturizing creams again.

I simply receive such a high amount of these to review that even using them every day I have a surplus built up-for which I am overwhelmingly grateful. EVERY once and awhile though I have a product come along that I know I will be immediately purchasing after I run out and this product is one of those rare creatures.

I haven't had the opportunity to try many self heating style masks and was concerned going into this product review that it may be like Icy-Hot on my skin (I hate that weird burning cold sensation). Let me assure you-it is NOT. On opening the (very well packaged) container I was intrigued. It looks like, and had the consistency of, a thick marshmallow creme minus the stickiness. It smells AWESOME. The container comes with a little applicator to apply it to your skin with and I promise a little goes a long way-another thing I love with products.

Once I got it onto my skin I immediately noticed a gentle warming tingle. The feeling was very similar to putting a warm towel straight out of the dryer over your face. Relaxing, soothing, not too much but definitely there. After 10-15 minutes I washed it off and it made a nice interesting lather in the process...afterwards my skin felt so squeaky clean and happy!

All In All: 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈😍 10/10 Rainbows AND A HAPPY FACE.
The Good: Everything! Smell, Texture, Effectiveness, Gentle Warming Face Hug. :P
The Bad: It's $25 and I'm cheap. It's not a SMALL container but I definitely wish there were more applications in it.
Where You Can Find It: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=me%3DA26Y1VZ91QJRCP&field-keywords=retinol+face+mask --- check out their other products too, they have some nice goodies in there!

This is a unique and special product they have here-I have tried other Vivo skincare and they are always interesting and fun to use but THIS product is their best yet. Definitely recommend giving it a try guys. As always, thank you so much for giving my words your eye time and stay awesome!

Bare Oranges

Or How Foundation Turned Me Into A Fruit

I recently got the opportunity to try the barePRO foundation by bareMinerals complimentary thanks to Influenster and I have to say unfortunately it was not a match for me. I've had it on my "must try" list forever and was really excited to get a chance to use it. The color I received was just a bit too dark for me but I was able to work with it and originally really enjoyed it-it gives a complete but light coverage perfect for those "No Makeup" makeup looks. It was really great to use with my Naked palette and a good nude lip for a more natural look and made my skin look pretty flawless but not caked with makeup.

Unfortunately about half an hour after I applied it I did a lipstick check in the mirror and was shocked to see an orange staring back at me. I have never had an issue with a foundation oxidizing before (even ones that are well known for oxidizing on people) so I was definitely not expecting this out of a bareMinerals product. Not to be deterred I decided to try it one more time using a completely different primer, concealer and application method as well as do a skin test on the back of my hand. Lo and behold, half an hour later both my face and skin were the color of a beautiful tropical sunset. Bright orange.

Now I will say that plenty of other people tried the exact same product I did with much less fruity results so it seems I'm on the less common side of things here but hey, an honest review is an honest review and that's my job here.

All In All: 🌈🌈 2/10
The Good: Wonderful light but complete coverage.
The Bad: Unwearable by me past half an hour-your results may vary. For a $30+ foundation I think you can do better.
Where You Can Find It: http://www.bareminerals.com/face-makeup/foundation/.  Also available from both Ulta and Sephora.

Ultimately I can't give this a great review because it's just not something that can work for me....but I feel like giving it only one rainbow isn't fair either because it does do a good job at lightweight coverage and just because it doesn't work for me doesn't mean it won't work for you.
The ball is in your corner! I suggest going to your local store and doing a skin test before committing to a purchase or deciding it won't work for you. Thanks for reading and stay awesome!
